Privacy Policy
In accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, duworks (the “Operator”) establishes and publishes this Privacy Policy to protect the personal information of users of Meongspace (the “Service”) and to promptly and effectively address related complaints.
Article 1 (Purposes of Processing Personal Information)
The Operator processes personal information for the following purposes and does not use it for any other purpose.
- Providing the Service: handling website access, security, and incident response
- Improving the Service: measuring visit frequency and analyzing usage statistics
- Advertising: displaying ads and measuring their performance when ads are shown (processed directly by advertising providers, as described in Article 8)
- Handling inquiries: reviewing and responding to user inquiries
Article 2 (Personal Information Processed)
The Service can be used without creating an account. The Operator processes the following personal information.
- Information automatically generated and collected while using the Service: IP addresses, cookies, device and browser information, access dates and times, and Service usage records
- For email inquiries: email addresses and inquiry details
Information collected directly by advertising providers when ads are shown is described in Article 8.
Article 3 (Processing and Retention Periods)
The Operator processes and retains personal information within the periods required by law or specified in this Policy. The retention periods are as follows.
- Usage statistics: usage records (event data) are deleted 14 months after collection, according to the data retention settings in Google Analytics. For identifiers that distinguish browsers, the retention period restarts each time the same browser returns. Aggregated statistical reports that do not identify individuals are retained regardless of this period.
- Access records: according to the retention policy of the processor, Cloudflare (Article 6)
- Inquiry information: one year after the inquiry has been resolved
Retention periods for behavioral information collected directly by advertising providers are described in Article 8.
Article 4 (Procedures and Methods for Destroying Personal Information)
The Operator destroys personal information without delay when it is no longer needed, such as when its retention period expires or its processing purpose has been fulfilled. Information in electronic files is permanently deleted using a method that prevents recovery.
Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Operator processes users' personal information only within the scope specified in Article 1 and does not disclose it to third parties unless specifically required by law. However, advertising providers may collect behavioral information directly through the Service as described in Article 8.
Article 6 (Outsourced Processing and Overseas Transfers)
The Operator outsources personal information processing as follows to provide the Service effectively. Because the processors' servers are located overseas, personal information is transferred overseas for outsourced processing and storage related to website hosting (providing the Service), receiving inquiry emails (responding to inquiries), and analyzing usage statistics (operating and improving the Service). The Operator discloses these transfers in this Policy under Article 28-8(1)(3)(a) of the Personal Information Protection Act.
| Processor (contact) | Outsourced activities | Information transferred | Destination · timing · method | Retention period |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC Privacy inquiries | Usage statistics analysis (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) | IP addresses, cookies, device and browser information, access dates and times, and Service usage records | United States · when accessing the Service · transmission over a network | 14 months after collection (Article 3) |
| Google LLC Privacy inquiries | Receiving and storing inquiry emails (Gmail) | Email addresses and inquiry details | United States · when an email is received · transmission over a network | One year after the inquiry has been resolved |
| Cloudflare, Inc. [email protected] | Website hosting and content delivery | IP addresses, access dates and times, and request information | United States, European Economic Area (EEA), and other countries where Cloudflare operates · when accessing the Service · transmission over a network | Retained within the purposes of providing the Service (Cloudflare Privacy Policy) |
Users may refuse overseas transfers. However, accessing the Service transmits access information to Cloudflare and Google servers to display the page, and blocking cookies does not prevent this transmission. To refuse overseas transfers, users must therefore stop using the Service. Inquiry information is not transferred unless an email inquiry is sent.
Article 7 (Use of Automatic Collection Technologies and How to Refuse Them)
The Operator uses cookies that store and retrieve usage information to analyze usage statistics. Advertising providers also use cookies when ads are shown. Cookies are small pieces of information sent by a website to a user's browser and stored on the user's device.
- Usage statistics cookies: first-party cookies stored by Google Analytics on the meongspace.com domain.
- Advertising cookies (when ads are shown): third-party cookies stored on their own domains by advertising providers such as Google.
Users can block cookies or delete stored cookies in their browser settings. Blocking only third-party cookies still allows usage statistics cookies to be stored. To refuse all cookies, users must block all cookies, including this site's cookies. Blocking cookies does not restrict use of the Service.
Article 8 (Collection and Use of Behavioral Information and How to Opt Out)
The Operator may display Google AdSense ads in the Service. When ads are shown, advertising providers collect behavioral information through the Service for personalized advertising as described below. The Operator does not directly collect or store this behavioral information.

| Collection method | Automatically collected through advertising scripts and cookies when users visit the Service |
| Information collected | Website visit records, ad impression and click records, cookies and advertising identifiers, and IP addresses |

| Processing locations | United States and other countries where advertising providers’ servers are located |
Users can opt out of personalized advertising in Google My Ad Center or block cookies as described in Article 7. For information about how Google uses information, see Google's policy.
Article 9 (Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them)
Users may exercise their rights at any time, including requesting access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of their personal information. The Operator will act without delay on requests sent to the contact listed in Article 11.
Article 10 (Measures to Safeguard Personal Information)
The Operator takes the following measures to safeguard personal information.
- Encryption of all communications (HTTPS)
- Blocking unauthorized external scripts through security policies
